Colorado River

American Rivers has recently declared the Colorado River as America's most endangered river, and climate change is a big culprit in this decision.  More than thirty million people throughout the United States and Northern Mexico use the Colorado River as a means for water supply and is likely to double in about thirty years.  Through climate change reducing the amount of water the river ecosystems have been reduced by nine to twenty percent.
Currently the demand for water from the river exceeds the water supply and it no longer flows to the sea.  The federal government has addressed the endangerment of the river and is looking to begin funding from water conservation programs through the river basin.
